Say 👋 to The Product Freelancer!
We're launching a brand new newsletter to help you start and grow your freelancing business. From 0 to the moon!
Building The Product Courier has been the most fulfilling challenge of our careers so far. We started from scratch in March, and just 5 months later, 1300+ of you are now receiving our weekly tutorials!
Your feedback energizes us even more than the countless cups of coffee we drink daily. THANK YOU! 🤗
This journey has been incredibly rewarding.
Today, we're excited to announce the launch of The Product Freelancer, a weekly newsletter designed to help you start and grow your product freelancing business.
This might interest you if you're:
👉 Considering launching your freelancing activity.
👉 Already a freelancer and you’re looking to develop your business.
Building our freelancing business in public.
AI and Automation are just one facet of our expertise.
We are first and foremost product professionals.
We’ve recently decided to launch our freelancing services to keep sharpening our product skills but also ensuring that we keep delivering high-value content.
Toni will focus on B2B Product building, (Linkedin)

However – let’s face it, the market is not in its best shape.
The tech industry is struggling, and product roles have been significantly impacted by recent layoffs. We've spoken with over 40 product consultants in the last few weeks, and times are undoubtedly tough.
Will this stop us?
Absolutely not.
It makes our journey more challenging – but also more exciting.
The 3 pillars of The Product Freelancer.
We know that starting a business is far from smooth sailing. We both became entrepreneurs because we love solving problems.
Cracking product freelancing in 2024 is undoubtedly a challenging endeavor.
In The Product Freelancer, we aim to share our journey towards building a €10,000 monthly revenue business over the next 6 months.
We'll do this through three main content pillars.
Pillar #1. Build-in-Public
Numbers have lost their meaning in today's landscape.
Every day, we see solopreneurs on social media boasting about their 7-8-9-10 figure monthly revenues, allegedly achieved through secret techniques available in their €1000 training programs.
The "fake it until you make it" mentality has gone too far.
Transparency – real transparency – has been our core value from the start. We see it not only as a value but also as a key component of our growth strategy.
We don't exaggerate our numbers.
Building a business is a step-by-step process filled with setbacks, doubts, and mistakes. Documenting our journey will help you learn from our successes and failures, and inform your own strategy.
Through our building-in-public posts, we aim to share:
A comprehensive debriefing of our actions – what we try, what succeed, what fails.
Our quantified results – Monthly revenue, number of leads, time spent delivering
Our main learnings.
In our latest build-in-public post, I share my reflections on creating a replicable offer based on Product Marketing and how to iterate on it with potential customers..
Pillar #2. How-to & practical guides.
If you've been following The Product Courier for a while, you already know that hands-on tutorials are at the core of our DNA. We strive to avoid vague advice and instead focus on recommendations with clear, actionable steps.
In the coming weeks, we plan to share tutorials such as:
Securing your first B2B clients
Connecting with CPOs and leaders in key companies
Implementing account-based strategies for product freelancers
Automating your networking as a freelancer
As always, our tutorials will be designed to be easily replicable, ensuring you can apply these strategies to your own freelancing journey.
Last week, Toni shared a few techniques he uses to be efficient and block time to focus on what matters.
Pillar #3. Personal growth as a Freelancer.
I genuinely believe that business and personal growth are closely intertwined: growing a business means also growing yourself.
We're human beings – not machines.
Through this last pillar, we aim to share our personal learnings and highlight the realities of freelancing in Product. We want to help you overcome challenges and mental barriers by openly discussing emotional and mental health-related issues and sharing practical tips.
We're not psychologists, so this format will focus on reflecting on our experiences, interviewing other freelancers, and sharing insights from major books.
This pillar is still a work in progress. We've been reading extensively lately and aim to share more soon!
Polls of the week
Starting from now we’ll share one poll per week!
You’ll get the result in next Wednesday’s edition of The Product Courier. :)
