News of the week. πŸ“°

The reality of AI search.

"Google is dead!"

"ChatGPT is taking over!"

”Google is doomed, Perplexity is king”

If you work in tech, you have probably heard or read these claims.
AI is everywhere. And if you are not an expert, your job is doomed. Is that so?

Numbers don’t lie

A recent study shows the reality of internet searches to date and the AI assistants’ market share.

  • Google still represents 84% of total searches,

  • Youtube accounts for 7%,

  • ChatGPT reaches 4%

( but it includes all the queries made to ChatGPT, not just web searches).

While ChatGPT’s growth is undeniably impressive, Google remains the clear leader. We need to be careful with bold claims.

The tech world is quite small, and we can easily fall for the β€œEcho Chamber Effect” of our environment, assuming that the whole world shares the same point of view.

As product managers, we must always look past the hype and focus on reality.

Because while your startup friends rave about ChatGPT and the death of Google, most users are sticking to their familiar search engine.

Look at Perplexity. Despite enthusiastic praise from tech influencers, it doesn't even register enough to earn its own segment on the chart!

What this means for Product Managers

  • Global user behavior changes slowly.

The gap between tech early adopters and mass behavior is huge.

While it’s important to take advantage of AI to build products, PMs don’t need to rush at all costs to implement AI, because the adoption is far from total yet.

  • There is room for growth.

ChatGPT's 4.33% share shows significant user adoption, but it also highlights the room for growth.

For PMs, this means you are not too late to the party.

You are still early enough to learn how to use AI in your work.

(joining The Product Courier would be a great first step 😊)

  • There are many opportunities still available.

ChatGPT has 200 Million users vs 5,5 Billion people with internet access.

95% of people with internet access do not use ChatGPT. And most likely don’t use any AI assistant.

While Twitter techies claim that AI is already old news, there is a majority of unserved people and many needs you can still solve with AI.

My secret tool to build diagrams in seconds πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸŽ¨

β€œImages are the most powerful communicator we have." - John Berger

βœ… Product Managers’ job includes making complex ideas simple.

βœ… It is a major challenge: teams don’t read docs and building visuals is not easy.

βœ… AI can now turn simple texts into clear visuals in seconds.

βœ… Build impactful and clear visuals to align teams, speed up decisions.

A day in the life of a Product Manager

We need to turn complexity into clarity…

As Product Managers, we deal with a lot of complex concepts to drive product development:

roadmaps, user journeys, customer feedback, prioritization, workflows, acquisition funnels…

We need to turn all this complexity into clear and digestible assets for the team and stakeholders.

Bet getting all this information across clearly? It's tough.

We've all been there:

❌ we write 2,000-word Notion documents nobody will read
❌ we spend hours struggling to make diagrams and mindmaps in Miro.
❌ we desperately make our thoughts fit irrelevant Figma or Canvas templates.

…but no one gets it.

An as a result, stakeholders often leave meetings unsure of the next steps.

Team members misinterpret our vision, ending up working on the wrong priorities.

Discussions drag on as you try to explain what should have been clear from the start.

Deadlines get pushed, and momentum stalls.

  • Misalignment: Teams pull in different directions, slowing progress.

  • Delays: Simple decisions take days because the key points aren’t clear.

  • Frustration: You’re stuck re-explaining or revising instead of moving forward.

When your outputs fail, the entire process grinds to a halt. And it affects everyone.

AI comes to the rescue.

Now, imagine a way to turn your ideas and text elements into clear and beautiful visuals.

You type a few lines, describe the concept, and AI does the heavy liftingβ€”creating flows, diagrams, and roadmaps… that are concise, clean, and easy to share.

Visual 1
What if you could create this in seconds?

No template hunting. No design skills needed.

Visual 11
Diagram created with AI from a simple text description

Just your thoughts turned into diagrams, flows, and roadmaps that make sense.

Visual 8
Creating a matrix becomes a breeze.

Create visuals that:

  • Get your point across instantly

  • Look professional without the hassle

  • Help teams align quickly

  • Make decision-making easier

There is an AI tool for that. And it’s 100% free to use.

Let me show you how I use it to create stunning diagrams in seconds.
Here we go.
